The merger of Hitachi Consumer Products Group and Hitachi Information Media Group created a newly rebranded Hitachi Digital Media Group. This repositioning was designed to reflect the market convergence of the business and consumer product sectors. A comprehensive on and offline marketing initiative was required to enhance brand messages and demonstrate the breadth of the Hitachi Consumer offering.
Giving consideration to targeting the core audience while endeavouring to widen the appeal of the Hitachi brand, a multilingual product website was developed, built and launched by m4 reflecting a lifestyle-driven theme to address this increased convergence. This involved initial consultations with both UK and European marketing directors, proposals to key management, and then project managing the design, programming & build, budget and timing for the implementation of this large project across twelve languages. This included management of both on and off-site suppliers, and both UK and European marketing managers. The site covers twelve further EMEA markets and includes product comparators, microsites, wizards, where to buy, and e-commerce.
With full integrated tracking and statistical reporting this site receives over 45,000 unique visitors each month.
