Product sheets form the start of many larger projects that m4 produce for Hitachi, generally working with the marketing department, these are produced as preliminary sheets from a product roadmap and are started in advance of the production models being available. m4 work from preliminary specifications supplied by Japan and produces all photography, retouching and a template for specifications, benefits and bullet points.
When final specifications and product photography are complete, the UK versions are signed off and then m4 proceed to translate and produce language variations for EMEA regions. To manage this m4 utilise the online artwork site that was built for this purpose, whereby all artworks and translations are tracked across the regions and notifications are emailed to recipients, be it sales managers in countries or sending back to m4 with modifications. This is a useful tool when working with multiple product sheets across a total of 13 language variations, which can add up to several hundreds of artworks, and also allows the Hitachi marketing department to have an overview of product sheet status by country. m4 then also print and distribute product sheets across all countries and utilise this information to update the web site and product related literature and online content.
m4 have been producing product sheets for Hitachi for many years now, and best practice, accuracy and the m4 tracking and online artwork site enable a full and complete management tool for Hitachi’s marketing department without having to be involved in each and every individual product sheet.
